Atomic Tanks  V .1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is not the full-blown documentation that will be written when the whole
game is done, but it is enough to see how to play.
First, the title screen comes up.  Press any key to get to the main menu.
Main Menu
At the main menu, press Play to begin playing immediately, Options to go
to the options screen, Credits to see the credits screen, and Quit to
quit.  At the bottom of the main menu screen, you can change the number
of players from 2 to 10.  You can change the number of rounds from 1 to 10.
Options Screen
At this point there are only 3 options to change. Press the up and down
arrows next to the option to change it and press Default to change it
back to its original setting.
Gravity: the higher it is, the faster missiles will fall back to the ground,
  and the less distance they will travel.
Starting Money: the amount of money that each player will start with to
  buy weapons.
Order Type: determines what order the turns go in.  With random order,
  order will be completely randomized for each round.  With High+, it will
  start with whoever is winning, and go down to whoever is losing.  With
  Low+, it will start with the loser, and then go down to the winner.
Playing
Once you press play, each player will enter his name (eventually you will
be able to change between human and computer player).  Then the buying screen
will come up.  Each item that you can buy is listed and you can scroll up
and down using the arrows at the bottom of the screen.  On each item's button,
you can see how many you have (which will start at 0), how much it costs to
buy, and how many items you will get for each purchase (if it says $5000
for 5 then you will pay 5000 dollars and get 5 missiles).  Once you finish
buying, press the Done button at the bottom and the next player will be able
to buy.  I suggest that you buy a variety of weapons, some kind of shield,
and definitely parachutes.
Once the buying is done, the main game will start.  At this point, there is
no way for everyone to put up their shields before the fighting starts, so
you might want to have a turn where everyone can put up their shields and you
just shoot a worthless small missile.
  Weapons:
  Your current weapon is shown at the top of the screen.  To cycle through
  your weapons, press Tab.  You have unlimited small missiles.
  Shields:
  To put up a shield, click where it says No Shield, until you cycle to
  the type of shield you have (it will show how many of each shield you have).
  Then once you get to the shield you want to put up, click right underneath
  that where it says Shield Energy.  Then your shield will be put up to full
  power.  Be careful not to click to put it up twice, or you WILL lose two
  shields.  This is so that, if your shield is almost down you can put up
  another shield. NOTE: at this point deflector shields are the same as
  heavy shields, so DO NOT waste your money on the more expensive deflector
  shields.  In the future, the deflector shield will actually deflect warheads
  that hit it (but will still be vulnerable if the explosion happens next to
  the tank)
  Shooting:
  At the top of the screen, it shows your angle and your power.  Use the left
  and right arrow keys to change your angle, and the up and down arrow keys
  to change to power.  The more the power, the harder the warhead will shoot
  out of your tank.  I suggest that you use a power of at least 500 (unless
  you really know what you're doing).  It will take some practice and
  experimentation to learn to shoot what you're aiming at.
So basically, you just take turns trying to blow each other up.  If you have
never played Scorched Earth and you don't get anything about this game then
just play it and you will figure it out.
