A large application like MineXpert has lots of configurable options. The Application preferences window described in this chapter is the central place for these customizations. To enter the application preferences window, select → .
As shown in Figure 2.1, “Application preferences - General page”, the general options encompass the following notions:
Maximum number of threads: Set the maximum number of threads when performing resource intensive tasks, like mass spectrum integration.
Decimal places for number representation: Set the numer of decimal digits when representing numbers. Note that not all numbers need the same decimal precision.
As shown in ???, it is possible to configure the shortcuts for a large number of tasks throughout the application.
The shortcuts can be configured by double-clicking the item of interest in the cell of the Shortcut column and then entering the desired shortcut. Then simply click somewhere else.
When all the shortcuts have been configured, click the button labeled Apply and restart the program.
As shown in Figure 2.3, “Application preferences - Discoveries page”, it is possible to configure the way discoveries are stored.
